28 Nov 2024 7:23 PM IST

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has given a big shock to former MLA Patnam Narender Reddy in connection with the Lagacharla attack case and extended his judicial remand once again. The 14-day judicial remand of Reddy ended on Wednesday. He was produced before the court through video conferencing by the police. The remand has been extended till December 11.

The arguments on the custody of Reddy have already been concluded. The High Court has reserved its verdict on the petition. It may be noted that Vikarabad district Collector Prateek Jain was attacked in Lagacharla village. There were allegations that the BRS party leaders were behind the attack. However, the pink party leaders have accused the ruling Congress party of hatching a conspiracy against them.

The police found that one of the accused involved in the attack had spoken to former Kodangal MLA and BRS leader Patnam Narender Reddy on the phone multiple times. Narender Reddy has been arrested in connection with the same case. He was detained while he was on a morning walk at KBR Park in Hyderabad. Narender Reddy is currently lodged in Cherlapally jail.
